HOW TO PARTICIPATE
1. Purpose of the Program
The NGSE Program allows participants to make a stay in a social environment different from the one in which they usually live, in order to improve their professional skills and to acquire new ones and to get to know the Rotary service philosophy, through their direct participation to Rotary and non-Rotary volunteer projects.
2. Who can participate?
Boys and girls, ages 19 to 30, high school graduates, college students, trainees, young professionals, or job seekers, from both Rotarian and non-Rotarian families.
3. How much does it cost to participate in the Program?
Admitted participants are only entitled to bear the costs for:
round trip to the host country;
health and accident insurance;
travel documents and small registration fee.
The expenses for board and lodging will be borne by the host Rotary Club.
4. In which countries does the exchange take place?
Worldwide ( USA, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Chile, Mexico, South Africa, Thailand, Japan, Philippines, Europe… )
5. Where do you stay?
With Rotarian and non-Rotary families, under the responsibility of the local Rotary Club.
Participation
Interested young Italians, residing in the territory of the Rotary District 2080 (Rome, Lazio, Sardinia), are invited to get in touch with the nearest Rotary Club by sending the Application Form, the Disclaimer (both downloadable below) and a curriculum vitae.
In the event that the interested party has difficulty contacting a Rotary Club, he/she can contact the District NGSE Commission directly by sending the request to the President and the Secretary of the Commission itself (the email addresses are listed on the Contacts page). Subsequently, the NGSE delegate or a representative of the Rotary Sponsoring Club involved will contact the local manager of the District NGSE Commission, to whom he will send all the documentation, duly completed and signed (see Contact page). The same must also be sent, in certified copy, to the President and Commission secretary
All subsequent contacts will be between the Commission and the Club and the Club and the applicant.
